Package Highlights
Arrival & Briefing
Your journey begins as you reach Maneybhanjyang, the quaint gateway to the Singalila Ridge. The 3.5-hour scenic drive takes you through tea gardens, pine forests, and charming mountain villages.
Upon reaching Maneybhanjyang, check into your cozy homestay. In the evening, join a briefing session with your guide to discuss the trek route, check gear, and go through safety instructions. Get a good night's rest before the adventure begins!
Trek Distance: ~12 km | Time: 6-7 hours | Altitude: 10,000 ft
Begin your trek along a charming stone-paved trail that winds through rhododendron forests, mossy paths, and small mountain settlements. You'll pass through Chitre and Meghma, where ancient monasteries stand guard over the landscape, offering a spiritual pause on the journey.
Tumling, your destination for the day, sits right on the Indo-Nepal border and offers sweeping views of the entire Singalila Range. On a clear day, the snow-capped peaks of Kanchenjunga and even a glimpse of Everest await you in the distance. Overnight stay in a cozy tea house or tent (based on selected option).
Trek Distance: ~13 km | Time: 6-7 hours | Altitude: 10,453 ft
Wake up early to catch a magical sunrise over Kanchenjunga. Post-breakfast, begin your trek through the enchanting forests of Singalila National Park. The trail crosses the Indo-Nepal border multiple times, offering fascinating cultural contrasts - Buddhist prayer flags flutter in the wind, and yak herders guide their flocks through misty meadows.
Kalapokhari, literally 'black pond,' is a sacred lake surrounded by prayer flags and ancient myths. The village is small and tranquil, and you'll feel the mystic charm as you settle in for the night. Overnight stay at Kalapokhari in a cozy lodge or tent (based on selected option).
Trek Distance: ~6 km | Time: 4-5 hours | Altitude: 11,930 ft
Today's trail is short but steep as you ascend to Sandakphu, the highest point in West Bengal. The rhododendron forests gradually give way to alpine meadows, and with every step, the views become more awe-inspiring.
Sandakphu is a vantage point like no other - the only place where you can witness four of the world's five highest peaks: Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu. At sunset, the mountains blaze gold and crimson, a sight to cherish forever. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Sandakphu.
Trek Distance: 21 km | Time: 7-8 hours | Altitude: 11,811 ft
Wake up early for a fascinating view of sunrise and the glorious Kanchenjunga range. After breakfast, proceed towards Phalut. The trail is relatively gradual and is widely considered the best trekking stretch of the Singalila circuit in terms of open meadows, panoramic landscape, and direct mountain views. Phalut is the trisection point of Nepal, West Bengal, and Sikkim. Accommodations here will be a cozy government trekkers' hut or similar with shared/basic facilities.
Trek Distance: 15 km | Time: 5-6 hours | Altitude: 7,874 ft
Rise up early in the morning, and our guide will escort you to the viewpoint to capture the grand Himalayas. After breakfast, begin your descent to Gorkhey. Gorkhey is a hidden gem, still largely undiscovered on the mainstream tourist radar. It is a beautiful small village completely surrounded by thick pine forests and bisected by the Gorkhey River, which separates Sikkim and West Bengal. Overnight stay in a local riverside homestay.
Trek Distance: ~14 km | Time: 6-7 hours | Altitude: 6,900 ft
Your final day's trek is a gentle descent through verdant forests, accompanied by the melodic songs of Himalayan birds. The path to Sirikhola is dotted with wooden bridges, waterfalls, and charming hamlets. Arrive at Sirikhola by 2:00 PM, where your trek officially concludes. Meet your SUVs and drive back to NJP/Bagdogra (approx. 4 hours).
